Family attractions in Paris  

Although Paris is often referred to as the city for lovers, it is also a great destination for family vacations. Because many attractions are appropriate for individuals of all ages. However, if you are traveling with small children, check out some of the great Paris France attractions outlined below. 

 

1)   Palais de la Porte Doree: The Palais de la Porte Doree, a popular attraction in Paris, is an exhibit hall. It is most well-known for housing the Cite nationale de l’historie de l’immigration. This is worth a visit all on its own, but what you find in the cellar will be an amazing find for you and your family. It is home to a large tropical aquarium. 

 

This aquarium was built in 1931. Inside, your family can view around five thousand fish. On an average, you will find around three hundred different specifies of fish. Infants and toddlers will be amazed with the colourful display. Older children will enjoy having a new fish to learn about and research when they return home. 

 

2)   Cite Des Sciences Et De L’Industrie:  As soon as you approach the Cite Des Sciences Et De L’Industrie, you will know that a world of excitement awaits you and your family inside. With a beautiful glass and steel exterior, its appearance makes this establishment worth the visit alone. But, remember, inside a world of fun awaits you and your family. 

 

The main focus of this popular Paris attraction is science and technology. While that may sound boring to your children, it won’t one they step into the Children’s City, also known as the Cites des Enfants. This area is designed for children aged three to twelve. Interactive exhibits and displays are designed for children in the age groups of three to five and five to twelve.   

 

Through interactive displays, your family can learn about communication, their body, the living world, and so much more. 

 

3)   Chateau De Breteuil: Children and fairy tales are the perfect match. For years, children all around the world have fallen asleep to a fairy tale recited by their parents. When visiting Paris you can give your children the opportunity to see their favourite fairy tales up close and personal. And, you can do so at the Chateau De Breteuil. 

 

Short, animated plays can be found at the Chateau De Breteuil, as well as wax sculptures. The chateau is also home to a large park. In that park, a boxed tree maze awaits your family, among other adventures. 

 

4)   Museum National D’Histoire Naturelle: The Museum National D’Histoire Naturelle, also simply known as The Museum, is a place for your children to explore the history of the earth and the creatures that roamed it. Throughout your journey, your family will encounter exhibits that highlight thousands of species from all around the world. Many are now extinct. Young children will be memorized by the displays, while older children can begin to understand the impact humanization and modernization had on the earth. 

 

5)   Geode: As previously stated, the Children’s City is a must visit attraction. Before leaving, visit the Geode, which is located nearby. It is a cinema like you have never experienced before. Imax shows play on large screens; screens that make you feel as if you are a part of the show. Up to five films can be seen on a daily basis. If traveling with small children, review the showings ahead of time. Find a film they will enjoy. Remember that bright colours are often enough to please small children.
